Despite the first team's defeat to Feckenham in the Worcestershire League Division Three they have secured promotion to Division Two and still have a chance of winning the title.

'Croft's second XI have also won Division Three.

Athey said: "I want to pass on my congratulations to everyone at the club for the efforts that have been put in this season. The team spirit has been excellent and everyone has really pulled together as a club to make this possibly the most successful season in the club's history."

On Saturday the first team's unbeaten run came to an end at the hands of their Redditch neighbours.

Pete Monk (59) and Andy Kings (59) were in fine form with the bat as the Millers made 213-5.

Croft's reply was stifled by bowler Paul Humphries (5-42) as they were dismissed for 213-5.

Avoncroft can secure the Division Three title on Saturday, September 3, if they defeat Old Vigornians away (12.30pm start).

'Croft grabbed a winning draw over Feckenham to win the Second XI Division Three title.

Townsend (80) and Jukes (62) guided them to 251-8, before Feckenham were restricted to 73-8.
