NIMBLE-fingered keyboard players will descend on a Kidderminster hotel for a four-day festival celebrating organ music.

Members of the Association of Organ Enthusiasts will assemble at the Ramada Hotel and Resort between Monday, September 12 and Friday, September 16.

The event is the group's autumn musical break and their sixth at the Ramada. It will feature concerts of popular music performed by top organ and keyboard players.

Among them will be Helen Hall, Tony Stace, Brian Hazelby, David Ingley, Steve Lowdell, David Lingwood, Chris Jones, Chris Powell and Jean Martyn.

Association members from all over the country will attend and local day visitors will be welcomed.

The group was formed during the early 1980s by people - both players and listeners - sharing a mutual love of organ music. Its aim is to promote fellowship among enthusiasts and membership is open to anyone who appreciates the musical style.

Members are kept in touch through a quarterly newsletter and benefit from discounts by dealers approved by the association. Some organ societies also offer reduced concert admission charges to members.

The three or four-day members' breaks at Kidderminster's Ramada began in early 2003. They come from as far afield as Scotland and the Channel Islands. As well as giving concerts, top performers from the organ world present masterclasses.
