WORCESTER Wolves cannot afford to lose any more games if they are to win the National Basketball League Division Two title.

That's the message from player-coach Rick Solvason as they prepare for tonight's away game against Northampton Neptunes (6pm).

Wolves lost their proud unbeaten record last weekend with a home defeat against Liverpool.

And although they bounced back to win at Liverpool 24 hours later, it's piled the pressure on Wolves ahead of next weekend's title showdown at North-West London.

Solvason said: "We have got to win all our other games now. North-West London are right behind us and have also lost only one game, so we need to win this one tonight to put the pressure on them next week."

Wolves should be favourites to beat a Northampton side who have won just three league games.

But Solvason does not want a repeat of the display which led to the home defeat against Liverpool.

He added: "We weren't able to boss the game and shot poorly from long range and the free throw line which have been pretty strong for us this season.

"It is very rare that you get a chance to avenge a defeat within 24 hours, and although the game at Liverpool wasn't pretty we were able to get a win which was very important."

Wolves are hoping American forward Ty Shaw will be fit after suffering a hip injury last week, although fellow forward Dave Jones is likely to miss out with a back problem.

Solvason added: "Ty didn't train the other night but he is confident he can play some part in the game, and we hope he will be 100 per cent fit for the North-West London game."
