A WOULD-BE Kidderminster daredevil is appealing for help to enable her to take part in a parachute jump for charity.

Self-confessed "thrill seeker" Karen Cave needs to find £350 to take part in the challenging stunt in aid of Mary Stevens Hospice in Stourbridge.

If successful in finding the funds, the 25-year-old from Comberton Hill will be strapped to an instructor and freefall from 10,000 feet, reaching speeds of 120 mph before the parachute opens.

The jump, due to take place in October, will fulfil a "lifetime ambition" according to the retail worker, who said she hoped to "raise as much as possible".

Miss Cave is originally from Essex, but moved to Wyre Forest to live with her Stourport fianc, Richard Thomas.

She said: "I really love a challenge and doing a parachute jump has always been an ambition.

"I love all the rides at theme parks but I know that this will be different.

"I saw an ad in the Shuttle/Times & News and just thought it would be an exciting thing to do and more importantly raise money for a worthwhile cause

"My fianc thinks that I am barmy for wanting to do something like this. He has told me that he would be proud if I did it because he could never do anything like this because he hates flying.
