A FASCINATING look at Malvern in days gone by is given in a new book of old photographs compiled by Brian Iles.
Mr Iles is a keen local historian who has spent many years researching Malvern's past. He is vice-chairman of Malvern Museum's management committee.
The Malverns, the latest volume in Tempus Publishing's Images of England series, collects over 200 archive pictures documenting Malvern life from the 1860s until the 1950s.
The pictures provide an interesting insight into what has changed and what has stayed the same in Malvern over more than a century.
The hills, vanished buildings and shops, soldiers, actors, musicians and schoolchildren all feature.
Brian Iles will be signing copies of the book at Beacon Books, Worcester Road, tomorrow (Saturday), from 11am.
