WORCESTER Nomads 1st XI entertained title-chasers Barnards Green in the WCL division two on Bank Holiday Monday.

Barnards Green were given a solid start by Richard Williams (44) and Kevin Golder (65), and after 10 overs they were going at five an over. Nomads then introduced Sachin Khartade into the attack and he instantly dismissed the dangerous Williams and the New Zealander Dan Flynn and this put the Green on the back foot.

Liam O'Driscoll also dismissed the in-form Chris Smedley. Barnards Green finished their 50 overs on 202-9 giving Nomads a second winning draw of the weekend. Sachin Khartade finished with (6-34) and Phil Newport (2-39).

Hagley started steadily with J Trinham (51), D Morgan (25) and C Eades (27), but never really got on top of the Nomads' bowling with Phil Newport (4-41) and Sachin Khartade (2-48). Hagley finished on 188-8 off their 50 overs, giving Nomads a winning draw
