The British Society of Dowsers is attracting more members than ever since moving to Malvern.

The society moved to St Ann's Road from Kent last year and administrator John Moss said the group is flourishing.

"The phones are constantly ringing and we've got lots of people joining up," he said. "I'm very glad we moved here."

More than 150 dowsers will converge on Malvern for the society's annual conference, from Friday to Sunday, September 9- 11.

The event, for members only, includes workshops, talks and demonstrations from leading dowsers across the country.

Mr Moss runs twice yearly beginners' workshops and is hoping to organise an open day in Malvern to introduce people to the subject.

"We always welcome new members and are keen to show people dowsing isn't just about finding water, it can be used for all kinds of things," he explained.

The society is in the process of setting up a library of dowsing books, journals and equipment stretching back to the 1930s.

A dowsing shop has also been set up at the St Ann's Road premises. For more information, visit the office or call 01684 576969.
