ANTI-Semitic graffiti has been sprayed on a skateramp used by Malvern youngsters.

Swastikas and the words "kill the Jews" were left in large white lettering on a ramp in Victoria Park over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Malvern Town Council staff discovered the graffiti on Tuesday morning.

Town clerk Richard Chapman said: "This is really frustrating, mindless vandalism."

"It's most distressing to think that the town council is trying to make things better in Victoria Park but vandalism is still going on.

"It's a shame and this is particularly nasty graffiti."

Young skaters using the park this week also condemned those responsible.

Graham Suttill, aged 16, from Leigh Sinton, said: "It's not really very good at all. It doesn't give the right impression of what actually happens here."

Andy Cocks, 19, from Malvern said: "How pathetic can you get? I'd tell the people who did it to grow up."

Mr Chapman said the ramps were very popular and were used by children as well as older teenagers.

"Hopefully they may not know what the graffiti means," he said.

Police photographed the graffiti on Tuesday and it was then painted over.

Vandals have also targeted a pair of clear plastic dug-outs the town council installed on Malvern Rangers' football pitch just 10 days ago.

The plastic is cracked after being kicked repeatedly and the seat has been ripped out of one structure.

Mr Chapman said the previous dug-outs were made of breeze-blocks and people gathered in them to drink and take drugs. The see-through dug-outs prevented this.
