UPTON residents have the chance to voice their views on policing at a meeting on Wednesday (September 7).

The Police Community Cons-ultative Group event will include a talk on Neighbour-hood Watch, youth service provision and the drug scene.

Residents can raise their concerns with Chief Inspector Sharon Gibbons, beat officer PC Mark Taylor and group members.

Clive Marlow, group chairman and Malvern Hills Neighbour-hood Watch co-ordinator, said: "This is the first meeting we've held in Upton as, in the past, all the meetings have taken place in Malvern.

"There is some disatisfaction amongst local residents in Upton about policing. This is their opportunity to come along and ask the police how they're going to address the problems.

"Hopefully their worries and fears can be voiced and they can be reassured."

The meeting, at Upton Baptist Hall, Old Street, begins with coffee at 7pm and ends at 9.30pm.
