Romsley and Hunnington 128-10 Droitwich 132-4
Droitwich won by six wickets
DROITWICH were too strong for Romsley and Hunnigton as they cruised to victory on Saturday.
Spa have just hit form in the Worcester League Division One to ensure they move away from the relegation zone towards mid-table safety.
Bowler Michael Rogers (3-31) gave Spa an excellent start with the ball, dismissing Alford (1), James (23) and P Morgan (9).
Karl Goddard removed Pickering (8), but D Morgan launched a Romsley fight back - before Goddard dismissed him for 48. Adrian Field took the final two wickets as Romsley slumped to 128-10.
Droitwich suffered a poor start, when Gary Carwright was bowled out for nought by Morgan.
Ian Cottrill, who hit 64 runs off 69 balls, made sure that Droitwich did not falter in pursuit of victory.
Josh Staines (41 not out) was in excellent form to spearhead Droitwich, while Jerome Connor hit eight not out as they made 132 in the 27th over.
Droitwich end the season on Saturday, September 10, at home to Kington (1pm start).
