A CHARITY providing low-cost neutering for cats and dogs could be forced to end its Wyre Forest operations unless it finds a new organiser.

The Celia Hammond Animal Trust - CHAT - seeks to curtail the number of animals born which will be put to sleep or dumped because they have no home.

The trust, set up and run by former model, Celia Hammond, and based in Sussex, provides neutering through a network of private vets.

Due to the ill-health of the Wyre Forest organiser of CHAT, who has held the role for 17 years, a new one is being sought.

Duties include arranging neutering for people on low incomes and re-homing unwanted pets.

Whoever is appointed would have to be a dedicated animal lover, with good organisational skills. They would also need to be prepared to take phone calls from the public to arrange animals' neutering.
