THE Wychavon Parish Games cross country event took place at Pershore High School on Monday.
Although only three Parishes took part, the 18 runners were very competitive. First home was Andy Train from Fladbury who won the overall trophy, with their other runners finishing in third, fourth, eighth, ninth and 11th places.
Defending champions Bretfor-ton finished second with Crowle in third.
The next one-day event is the angling that takes place on the River Severn on Saturday, Sep-tember 17.
