A villagers' group in Broadway is celebrating this week with the news that their proposals for changes in the village have been approved at a recent parish council meeting.
The group was set up to try and improve a number of things in the village, mainly concerning the state of parking and pavements.
Among the changes they wanted to see implemented were an extension of parking times in the bays in the High Street from 30 minutes to 45; better signs for existing car parks in Broadway; replacement of missing slabs outside the HSBC bank; the introduction of bollards to stop drivers parking on the pavement, and the erection of reinforced mesh fencing to block cars' access onto roadside verges
Broadway parish clerk Eddie Vickers said: "I would like to thank the chairman of the group Derek Wakelin for all his hard work and dedication in getting the scheme off the ground."
