A UNIQUE marketing drive designed to attract more patients to the treatment centre in Kidderminster attracted hundreds of interested shoppers and will be repeated in the future, it has been announced this week.

Teri Green, assistant director of operations at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, said feedback from visitors to the stand at the Merry Hill shopping centre in Dudley had been "fantastic".

The event, last weekend, saw staff from the treatment centre using props such as a life-sized skeleton to raise public awareness of the wide range of clinical services on offer in Kidderminster.

Passers-by were also able to check their body mass index at the stall.

The team, led by Ms Green and treatment centre manager, Karen Bradley, also included matrons and nurses from the Minor Injury Unit, theatres and outpatients department.

Ms Green said: "We will definitely be doing it again, hopefully at Merry Hill, because the treatment centre has the capacity to take more patients from surrounding areas and we will also be covering Worcestershire to raise awareness of the local amenity."

"Hopefully, our efforts will help to raise the profile of the treatment centre and attract more patients," she added.
