TOMORROW at Kidderminster Town Hall, Dr Simon Thurley, chief executive of English Heritage, will give a talk entitled "The Eclipse of Majesty - Palaces and Country Houses in England from Henry VII to George IV".
Dr Thurley was curator of the Historic Royal Palaces and director of the Museum of London before taking up his current post.
He is well-known as an author and broadcaster, through his television series on the Lost Buildings of Britain, and the programme Building Britain.
Tickets can be purchased in advance from Kidderminster Town Hall, or from Nick Hughes, 29 Church Street, Kidderminster. The celebrity lecture will start at 7.30pm.
Saturday is Heritage Open Day, when there is a chance to see parts of the town hall, and displays of items not normally available to the public.
