KIDDERMINSTER Harriers Ladies burst out of the blocks with a goal in the opening minute of their Midlands Premier League season - but Stratford Town hit back to force a draw.
Former Wolves player Nikke Palmer gave Harriers a dream start with a fine individual goal after 50 seconds, only for Lisa Taylor to equalise on the stroke of half time.
Harriers Reserves got off to the worst possible start at Malvern in the Worcestershire County League, conceding after 20 seconds, but they recovered to win 3-1 at last year's champions.
Kirsty Roberts bagged a brace with Tracy Evans also on target and stand-in keeper Kirsty Sheppard saving a second-half penalty.
On Sunday the firsts host Headless Cross with the seconds at home to Redditch.
l Burlish Olympic Ladies were 4-0 winners at Bredon in the Worcestershire County League with player of the match Rachel McGowan on target with Debbie Prescott, Jo Carpenter and Kate Bailey.
They host Worcester City Reserves on Sunday.
