MEMBERS of two Fladbury barbershop choruses enjoyed the wit and the Wisdom at a private party in the village hall last week.
Veteran comedian Norman Widsom - now aged 90 - is honorary president of the Vale Connection Ladies' Barbershop chorus and their male counterparts Vale Harmony.
And once a year they meet in the village hall for a reunion and mutual entertainment.
"We sing for him and then he entertains us," said Wendy Gwynn. "It has been a regular occasion for ten years or more and we all enjoy ourselves and have a great night."
Clearly, Mr Grimsdale wasn't invited.
