DRIVING along the A451 towards Kidderminster, in a line of traffic, a motorbike overtook me, and all the cars in front.

Before I could blink, he was out of sight.

At the Park Gate public house, all the vehicles in front turned right towards Wolverley, leaving the road ahead clear.

As I approached Broadwaters, the biker had brought his machine to a halt across the middle of the road and was waving his arms to flag down motorists in both directions while ducks and geese crossed the road.

I would like to thank this biker for his courteous behaviour to other road users, as he left without trace once our web-footed wildlife were safely across.
