FRANK Pickett collected a hat-trick of awards at Kidderminster Chess Club's annual meeting and presentation evening.
Pickett had defeated John Wrench in the final of the Kidderminster championships, and broke all records in the Graham Bunn Memorial event when he scored 17.5 points, and he won the quick-play event.
Maurice Bissell ended Pickett's recent domination of the Shuttle Shield, beating him in the final.
Wrench received the President's Cup after defeating Paul Thomas following a replay in the deciding match.
Peter Kitchen took the lightining tournament trophy, Jim Friar the handicap award and Ognian Mikov won the summer competition.
Terry Pountney was elected president, to serve a two-year term.
