A POPULAR hair stylist has hung up her scissors after 25 years and said goodbye to clients at a Stourport salon.
Linda Symonds is now looking forward to giving her legs "a rest" after her retirement from the Cameo salon in Lombard Street that she has managed for the last 17 years.
The 60-year-old, who originally hails from London, bade an emotional farewell to her colleagues and customers last Saturday.
Owner, Kim Hawthorne, said: "I am desperately sorry to see her leave. She has got a huge and loyal clientele that really don't want her to go. I don't think they will know what to do without her.
"I will, personally, miss her so much because she has become on of my best friends but I will still see her and we'll go out partying."
Mrs Symonds, who lives in Hartlebury with her husband, Derek, intends to mark her retirement with a "well-deserved" family holiday in Spain.
She said: "After 25 years, I am sad to be saying goodbye because I have made lots of friends and some of my clients have been coming in for the whole time I have been here. People who were in their 60s when I first started here are still coming in to see me now that they are well into their 90s.
"I am going to relax and try to do the things that I have never had the time to do in the past," she added.
