KIDDERMINSTER have been pipped to the Worcestershire Sunday Club Cricket League 1st XI Division title by Droitwich despite winning at Pershore in their final game.
But they made up for it in the 2nd XI Division with a victory over Ombersley clinching the championship in the league sponsored by Fearnley Factory Shop.
Gavin Evans was the star with the bat as the firsts made 266-8 having skittled Pershore out for 172.
It was not enough, however, as Droitwich's win over Feckenham gave them the title by six points.
A real team effort inspired the seconds to success as they made 167-4 in reply to Ombersley's 163-8.
Bewdley firsts finished fourth bottom after there scheduled match was conceded by Barnards Green.
A knock of 85 from Derek Moses was not enough to prevent Bewdley seconds losing as they could only reach 176-8 chasing Barnards Green's 179-2.
