STOURPORT rounded off the season on a high note, with both first and second teams gaining maximum 24 points over Stourbridge in Division Three.

The first team won the toss and chose to bat on their home track, posting 247-8 in their 50 overs, with contributions from Alan Moss (61no), Dave Cook (35), Phil Williams (34), Neil Bailey (26) and Bevan Neill (20) M Patel and K Patel took three wickets each for the visitors.

In reply Stourbridge tried to hold on for the losing draw to deny Stourport the honours, but were bowled out in the 50th over with Firth making 49, Goodway 35 and Bradley 21.

Neill was the pick of the bowlers, claiming 4-35 in another superb team performance in this 32-run victory.

l Stourport seconds came home from Stourbridge with a 14-run win, despite only having eight players.

Stourport chose to open the batting, and posted 122 by the 39th over, with good contributions from Mark Nicol (21), Eddie Giles (21) and John Downes (19).

A magical spell of bowling from Lloyd Roberts, who took 7-58, turned the game Stourport's way, with Giles also claiming a couple of wickets, as Stourport bowled out their hosts for 108 in the 27th over.
