THE fifth annual Worcester News Jobs and Careers Fair has been hailed a massive success.

The event, which took place yesterday at the Guildhall, attracted exhibitors ranging from health and recruitment agencies to the Armed Forces and the police.

The event also aimed to entice a wide range of visitors, from people looking for their first job to older workers seeking a change in direction.

Sandra Sandon, event co-ordinator for the Worcester News, said it did just that: "We believe the event has the best mix of employers for an event like this in Worcestershire.

"And it showed we offered by the good cross-section of people who attended.

"We had fabulous feedback from the event, both from exhibitors and from those attending.

"This was the first time we have done a second fair in the same year and I am delighted to say it went really well."

Visitor numbers were not available at the time the Worcester News went to press, but early indications showed that figures were going to match, or even beat, the last event's figure of 2,000.
