PLANS to put up a temporary building to house 12 beds at Worcestershire Royal Hospital received a mixed response from Warndon Parish Council.
Ray Morris, in charge of planning at the council, said he was worried because the structure was "in a very, very prominent position".
He added: "It's right in
front of accident and emergency so you are looking straight at it when you turn in. It's supposed to ease the bed problem and this gives them a bit of grace.
"Our recommendation will be to give a time limit to put pressure on the NHS to build something more permanent."
The planning application, taking into account the views of the parish council and others, will be ruled on by Worcester City Council.
