I CANNOT say how disgusted I am at the prospect of losing all these services at the Alexandra Hospital.
How can anyone think of expecting a town of this size to do without an A&E department, not to mention maternity, paediatrics and cancer surgery?
How is it going to save money? There will be just as many patients needing as many nurses and doctors and beds and space.
Worcestershire Royal Hospital does not have enough room to accommodate all these extras. Are they thinking of building onto it? That will not save money.
Perhaps the trust is deeply in debt. If so, it is up to them to solve the problem without causing such hardship to the very people they are there to serve.
We must fight to keep the Alex as it is. We waited long enough for it and we cannot lose it now.
