FIVE new palm trees were due to be planted in the Kingfisher Centre last night.
Installation of the trees, which were specially shipped in from the Netherlands, started in Worcester Square at about 6pm.
Town centre manager Ian McLelland said if the job had not been finished by the end of the evening the trees would be stored in an empty shop unit and completed tonight.
