ANTI-SOCIAL behaviour orders were imposed on two Woodrow residents by Redditch magistrates on Monday.

The application, made by Redditch Council against Jayne Neade, of Bushley Close, and Andrew Taylor, of Woodrow Centre, came after a number of complaints from residents living near them.

An interim order had been imposed on the pair since the case opened on September 28.

Both agreed to the orders, banning them from causing harassment, alarm or distress to anybody in a specified area of Woodrow and from assaulting, threatening or intimidating two named individuals, whether by themselves or with others.

They are forbidden from using foul or offensive language and cannot drink alcohol, except in The Woodrow pub, or take non-prescription drugs in a public place, within the specified area.

Neade is forbidden from entering specified blocks of flats in Woodrow Centre and from knocking on certain doors.

She is also banned from playing music at her home between 7am and 11pm that is loud enough and long enough to be nuisance to other residents, and between 11pm and 7am so it can be heard in neighbouring homes.

Magistrate Charles Townsend told the pair: "It's quite clear both of you have engaged in anti-social behaviour and that you have caused harassment, alarm and distress to others - this behaviour must cease, it has got to stop."

If the two-year orders are breached the pair could be liable for a prison sentence or a fine.

Neade was ordered to pay £200 costs at a rate of £3 per week and Taylor was ordered to pay £300 at £5 per week.

Mr Townsend added: "The bench is mindful the taxpayer picks up the costs of such an order - and it will be enforced very rigorously."
