I CANT believe this acute health authority is considering downgrading the hospital services in Redditch.
I have worked in Critical Care for a number of years and the services we offer the community is excellent.
How on earth will the Worcesterhire Royal Hospital cope with all the additional patients? You can't even park if you go for an outpatient appointment!
A&E at the Alex does a fantastic job and are always busy, especially at weekends. The Worcester hospital can't cope with the patients they have and are often on 'red alert' transferring their patients over to Redditch.
Someone somewhere should do their sums!
Sack the management. Who is responsible for an overspend of £30m.
Perhaps if each hospital was accountable for its own budget you would see where the money has been spent. I don't think the Alexandra is the problem site.
