LEE Fortey is set to return for Warriors in Saturday's European Challenge Cup match against Amatori Catania after recovering from a dislocated shoulder.

The 30-year-old passed a fitness test yesterday and has been given the all-clear to fly to Sicily with the rest of the squad.

Fortey has not played any part in Worcester's campaign after suffering the injury in pre-season against another Italian side -- Benetton Treviso.

"We've got every confidence in Lee to do a job anywhere in the front row," said director of rugby John Brain. "He's rehabed extremely well and come through a full fitness test. He'll be involved at the weekend."

Fortey's return to fitness is a timely boost for Warriors. His twin brother Chris is the only other senior hooker available following the long-term injury to Andre Van Niekerk.

The South African also dislocated a shoulder but, unlike Fortey, needed surgery and will be out for three months. The club are still trying to sign a replacement.

One area where Warriors are likely to be under-strength against Catania is in the second row.

Tim Collier will have a hernia operation on Monday and is expected to be sidelined for three to four weeks. Phil Murphy needs a fitness test on his Achilles.

Brain is hoping to build on the 36-18 victory over Montpellier in Saturday's opening group game but not all of his stars will feature.

"It will be a pretty strong team," he said. "We will look to rest three or four players because it is a six-day turnaround. We've got to rest some of our players who have been playing a lot of rugby."

Brain has signed a two-year extension to his current contract which will keep him at Sixways until the summer of 2008.

He said: "It's good to sort out your future. We're trying to move into that leading group of clubs. A lot of hard work is required by everyone to make sure that we get there."

Brain also confirmed that the club are no longer on the look-out for a new winger. Steve Booth's trial period at Sixways has ended and Warriors have decided not to sign the former rugby league player.
