THEY'VE had audiences in stitches across the globe - and the latest clutch of comedians will soon be bringing their brand of humour to a Worcester venue.

Marr's Bar in Pierpoint Street runs the Comedy Zone on the first Thursday of the month, and November's line-up is topped by award-winning comedian Andy Parsons.

Also on the bill for Thursday, November 3, are the anarchic Martin Davis and rising star Inder Manocha, while the evening will be compered by Adam Montgomery.

A regular on radio and television, Parsons has been dubbed the "king of political comedy" and will be familiar to many listeners of BBC Radio 2 as one half of Parsons and Naylor.

He also shows up regularly on television, most recently on BBC 2's topical comedy show Mock The Week and was a panellist on They Think It's All Over.

The multi-talented star was also a former script writer for Spitting Image, Smith And Jones and Lenny Henry and was handed the Time Out Best Comedy Award in 2002.

Meanwhile, Manocha deals with subjects such as discrimination, immigration and the truth behind those colourful Bollywood movies.

The comic starred in the BBC1 adaptation of Indian author Meera Syal book Life Isn't All Ha Ha Hee, as well as in Waking The Dead, scooping the EMMA Award for Best Comedian in 2004.

Davis has performed his crazed brand of humour across the globe.

Doors at the Marrs Bar open at 8pm.
