DIVISION three leaders Moreton Town Sunday crashed to their first league defeat of the season, as they were hit for six by Ashton-under-Hill in the Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday League.

Hero for Ashton was Haines, who scored four with further goals from Hunting and Gregg, and Moreton replied through Hurrell and Shurmer.

Crowle and Gardeners Arms maintained their perfect starts. A Gwillam treble helped Crowle defeat Queens, and a Griffiths treble led Gardeners to a six-goal defeat of Golden Cross. Wickhamford gained a much-needed win at Norgren and an Andrews double saw Eckington defeat Bell Utd.

Broadway Utd Res continued their recent good form with a division four win at Gate Inn, Graham Westmacott scoring twice. Leaders Fairfield Sports defeated Pebworth with Key and Martin on target, and a strong first-half performance saw Lenches Lions win at Tescos with Wright (2), Paul,Houghton, J.Pratt and P.Pratt all scoring.

Royal Oak moved into second place, Martin (3) and Dawes(2) scored the goals against Riverside, and Cidermill hit seven past Blue Maze with player-manager Gerald Bearcroft scoring twice.

Offenham Rovers followed up last week's win with a surprise win in division one against Red Horse. Ex-Rover Burrows scored for Red Horse, and Rovers replied through Chinn, Drew and Tustin. Ambassador hit five against local rivals the Bear, with Beattie (2), James(2) and Andy Clear scoring, Moreton Wanderers hit ten past Inkberrow thanks largely to Winter (3), Sheridan (3) and Mills (2).

Peopleton edged out Broadway Utd in a game which produced seven goals, a Harvey treble swung the game towards Peopleton, and Mickleton Rangers remain pointless at the foot of the table following a narrow defeat against Evesham WMC.

Division two leaders Bretforton Old Boys came from behind to defeat Oddfellows Arms. Scott Sears gave the Oddies the lead before Lindley and Scott turned the game around, Willersey moved third, goals from Duncan Beale and Smith defeating Tewkesbury Town. Alderton were held at Badsey Rec after surrendering a two-goal lead. Mitchell and Reid put Alderton in front before the Rec struck back with goals from Pearce and Simms.
