PUPILS of a Kidderminster school have been busy designing patches sewn into a patchwork quilt to promote adoption.
Worcestershire County Council's adoption service has linked up with Franche First School to raise awareness of the benefits provided by the scheme.
Each child at the school has designed a patch to go on the quilt, as part of National Adoption Week, which began on Monday and runs until Sunday.
Nigel Knowles, county councillor for Kidderminster's St Barnabas ward, said: "Being out and about during National Adoption Week will, hopefully, give a real boost to spreading the message of adoption across the community."
Val Weddell-Hall, the school's headteacher, said: "We are delighted to see children getting involved within the community. Hopefully, the hard work will send out an important message."
