WITH just under a month before the Midland Musical Theatre Group perform It's A Kind of Magic at Malvern Theatres, group member Roger Huffadine is making tickets disappear.

Roger will be performing his conjuring tricks in the theatre foyer before each show as a special welcome to the audience.

At rehearsals last week, he took the chance to show other performers how he could make the show's tickets disappear.

Audiences are being urged to watch out for disappearing tickets as well, since MMTG's shows usually sell out.

During its 27-year history, MMTG has raised more than £100,000 for charity and this year the group is supporting three charities - Royal British Legion, Wish Upon A Star and Danemere Animal Rescue, which was visited recently by some of the cast members.

It's A Kind of Magic includes everything from Sinatra favourites and the magic of the Beatles to the enchantment and fantasy of the great musicals.

The show also includes a tribute to the 60th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, with haunting melodies sure to stir emotions.

Audiences will also be treated to a Christmas finale, featuring songs such as Walking in the Air and Rocking Around the Christmas Tree.

Local favourite Barry North will appear with his own style of comedy and the talented dancers from Harlequin Stage School are ready to delight to their usual high standard.

The play has also attracted a National Lottery Awards for All grant of £5,000, it was announced last week, to help with staging costs.

It's A Kind of Magic is on Tuesday to Saturday, November 22-26. Tickets (£11-£13) are available from 01905 425299 or www.mmtg.biz.
