MALVERN Town will be hoping to extend their 11-match Travel Factory Midland Alliance winning run when they visit Studley tomorrow (Saturday).

Town are at present in second-place in the table but are only three points behind leaders Quorn with six games in hand.

Manager Neil Hunt said: "We are going very well but must keep our run going. Everybody seems to be beating everybody else just at the moment and results are going for us."

Town's closet rivals, third-placed Romulus, suffered defeat last week at home to Stourbridge and fourth-placed Coalville were defeated 4-0 by Barwell.

This weekend leaders Quorn face a difficult trip to Leamington and Romulus play Coalville Town.

Hunt said Malvern will be at full strength for the trip to Studley with Darren Bullock again available after serving a one-week ban last week for his double yellow card sending off against Histon.

Although disappointed that Malvern did not win the league's team of the month award for October, Hunt said: "I think we suffer slightly for not being closer to Birmingham, but at the end of the day if we win the league, that will be the best accolade that we can get."

He said that Malvern Town have the best crop of players they have ever had and although people mention the more experienced players, he still regularly plays three of four 19-year-olds.

"We have a good blend of youth and experience," he said.

Malvern kick-off at 2.15pm at Studley, to avoid the England match, and then visit Racing Club Warwick on Tuesday (November 15). Kick-off 7.45pm.

Malvern's game on Tuesday against Oldbury was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
