MALVERN band The Fallout Theory has just released a debut album called So Happy You're Not Here.
The band, which describes its music as dark but melodic punk pop, has just returned from a three-week UK tour and is planning a European tour for the New Year.
Band member Carl Haffield said the reception in towns up and down the country was excellent.
"We've played loads of venues and sold loads of CDs and T-shirts. The tour went really well," he said.
Their debut album, which has been released on the Cradley-based Lockjaw Records label, should be available from shops nationwide and will give the band the exposure it has been looking for.
The album is also available on the internet from Play.com and Amazon.
The Fallout Theory is made up of two brothers, Carl and Craig Haffield (drums and guitar) and two friends, Lee Smith (guitar) and Andy Watkins (bass).
Their live gigs have received a lot of praise in the music press and the band has been selected to play at the Brixton Academy in London on November 14, as part of the Taste of Chaos tour.
The band is now looking for sponsorship for a new van for its European tour. In February, it is setting off for venues in Germany, Austria, France and Switzerland and needs a reliable van to get itself and equipment around.
Anyone interested in sponsoring the band can contact Carl on 077905 14781 or email: the_fallout_theory@hotmail. com.
