STAN Ginn was the star for Crackpots B in the Brewin Dolphin Securities-sponsored Malvern Table Tennis League's division three by winning all his singles.

He was supported by Ted Cates with two wins and Alan Forsdike with one. Ted and Alan did however lose their 100 per cent record in the doubles to brothers, Nick and Adrian Hagar.

In the Hop Pickers team, Adrian, returning to table tennis after several years, also won one singles and Nick won two. Stan's win over Nick was of particular importance as at that point the match stood at four-all and it looked as if the points were going to be shared. Stan took their fourth game 12-10 and then Ted beat Andrew Hepworth to clinch the three points.

The experienced Nomads win over the youngsters of the Allsorts team proved too much for them to get a point but Alex Lindner's win at 14-12 over Geoff Davies was well deserved.

Alex also took Adrian Fray to a fourth game and Lizzie Gorton and James Mulka both had four-game sets. Tony Hughes was the best player of the evening, winning all his sets in straight games and the doubles with Adrian Fray.

Alasdair Maxwell-Stewart won two singles and Tom James one for Poolbrook Lieutenants to earn them another point.

Two sets went to a fifth game but both were lost by the narrowest of margins and two others went to four games. Steve Mulka won three for X-Police, Malcolm Dalley two and Alan Holmes one and Alan and Steve won the doubles.

RESULTS: Crackpots B 6, Hop Pickers TT Club 4; CSSC Nomads 9, Manor Park Allsorts 1; Poolbrook Lieutenants 3, X-Police 7.
