FIELDING their strongest team for the first time this season, Malvern took on the experienced side of Old Sills.
OLD SILLS LADIES 1, MALVERN LADIES 4
The first goal went to Malvern with Nikki Forecast's first touch of the game, as she slipped it round the unprepared goalie.
This gave Malvern the confidence to attack, they won a penalty corner, injected by Lucy Smith and scored from a straight strike by Kt Smith. Old Sills also scored from a short corner, following intense pressure on the Malvern defence.
Sills tried to repeat their attacks but Malvern were well-prepared with Hillary Forecast and Helen Barnes defending stoutly. The Malvern midfield passed the ball well to their attackers who successfully carried it through the Sills defence line.
Malvern's' third goal came in the second-half from Emma Marks after sustained pressure, which was closely followed by Malvern's well earned fourth goal.
A short corner was awarded after the final whistle and the rebound, from Lucy Smith's strike, was slipped in by Sarah Mace.
Another well-earned win for the team which should consolidate their position in the top three of division two.
Tomorrow (Saturday), Malvern travel to play current leaders Stourport and hope to continue their success.
