ANIMATED duo Wallace and Gromit have boosted the sales of Malvern-based business Toastabags.
A new edition of their innovative product featuring the famous characters has been a hit with shoppers nationwide, coinciding with the release of the new Wallace and Gromit film, The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.
The bags are already available in outlets such as Morrisons and Woolworths, and creator Guy Unwin said a six-month deal had recently been signed with Somerfield.
"Since the release of the film they've been going exceptionally well and we've already sold more than 50,000," he said.
"The creators are very pleased with the exposure they've received and Gromit has even sent us a signed photo."
Mr Unwin said the firm would look to produce other licensed character packs and had even approached Premiership football clubs regarding a future link-up.
