BUSINESS Link West Mercia is this week running Enterprise Week events aimed at inspiring people in their teens and twenties to make their ideas happen.

During this event, the enterprise team at Business Link will be working with other organisations such as Young Enterprise, Worces-tershire and Herefordshire councils, the Prince's Trust, and colleges, to raise awareness among 16 to 24 year olds about self-employment as a viable career option.

It runs until Sunday, November 20, and the initiatives have been supported by organisations including the Chamber Of Com-merce, Advantage West Midlands, the Learning and Skills Council, and Shell LiveWIRE.

John Edwards, chief executive of Advantage West Midlands, said the Make Your Mark Campaign was an ideal starting-point to pass on essential information and guidance to young people.

"Events are being held in the West Midlands, the Black Country, Staffordshire, Shropshire, Here-fordshire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire because we are determined to pass the message on to as many potential businessmen and women as possible," he said.

"If more and more young people fulfil their potential it will benefit this region and we hope this campaign will lead to tomorrow's entrepreneurs making their mark."
