MALVERN Town boss Neil Hunt may be chasing Quorn at the moment but he believes two other sides present a bigger Midland Alliance challenge.

Mid-table Leamington and Chasetown are the teams to beat, according to Hunt, after their cash bonanzas from FA Cup runs.

But, for now, Malvern are one point behind Quorn with six games in hand going into tonight's fixture at Racing Club Warwick (7.45).

Town recorded their 12th Alliance win in a row on Saturday with a 2-0 success at Studley, thanks to goals from Phil Preedy and Mark Shepherd.

Hunt said: "With the money Chasetown and Leamington have had from the FA Cup, they are going to be able to push on a little bit.

"But I believe we have an 18-man squad where everyone is capable of playing for this team.

"That's why they are all sticking around as they know they're going to be involved at some stage due to injuries and suspensions."

Meanwhile, Westfields tackle Wellington tonight in the Herefordshire Senior Invitation Floodlit Cup at allpay.park (7.30).

The Hereford side's poor away Alliance form failed to improve when they lost 2-0 at Barwell at the weekend.

Barwell stormed into a 2-0 interval lead and despite a good second-half performance by Westfields, the visitors failed to find the net.

Westfields seemed to have weathered the early pressure but went behind on 22 minutes when Daniel Spencer rose above the defence to head in Scott Clamp's right-wing cross.

Chris King fired a 25-yarder just over for Westfields but Barwell increased their lead in the 36th minute with Spencer's fierce drive.

Sub Derek Craddock had a great chance to reduce the arrears in the second-half but goalkeeper Dave Sharpe smothered the effort.

Mark Hibbard hit the bar and Roy Jordan's shot was charged down as Barwell's defence stood firm.

n Pershore Town head to Massey Ferguson in the Midland Combination Premier Division tonight (7.45).
