A VIOLENT bully who subjected a 16-year-old girl to a horrific sex ordeal in a Redditch hostel for the homeless has been jailed for 10 years.

Kieron Scriven, 22, forced three youths to fondle the victim's breasts before he raped her, Worcester Crown Court was told.

Scriven, of Slimbridge Close, Crabbs Cross, was found guilty of two counts of rape, sexual assault, causing a female to engage in sexual activity and affray.

Judge David McEvoy QC said it was one of the worst cases of its kind he had encountered.

He said there were many aggravating features to the crime which had humiliated and terrified a young girl.

The judge ordered Scriven to be put on the sex offenders' register for life.

Nicolas Cartwright, prosecuting, said Scriven went to the Step Out Drop In hostel in Beoley Road West on March 7 after claiming he had been "grassed up" over a drug deal.

He quizzed one resident who leaped out of a window to escape, then confronted the three youths. They had no idea what he was talking about.

Scriven produced a knife, frog-marched the youths to the victim's room and ordered them all to strip off their tops.

He made the girl remove her bra and fondled her breasts while the others were forced to watch.

Mr Cartwright said not being content with such degrading humiliation, he then instructed the trio to fondle her before making her perform a sexual act on him, a crime which now constitutes rape under new laws.

Scriven ordered the trio to leave and then forcibly had sex with the girl. She gave evidence against him by video link.

Mr Cartwright said Scriven had previous convictions for violence including an attack in a town underpass.

The jury took just half an hour to deliver unanimous verdicts on all five counts after a three-day trial.
