THE two basement clubs in Division Four of the Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday League locked horns with both teams seeking to claim their first points of a troubled campaign.

And, it was Pebworth who came out on top as goals from Sprigg, Chalman, James and Ingram cancelled out efforts from Loveridge and Richmond to leave Blue Maze still searching for that elusive win.

Leaders Fairfield Sports incr-eased their lead at the other end of the table with victory over Riverside thanks to goals from Keay, Martins and Stanley.

Offenham Rovers continue to improve in Division One as goals from Drew and Tustin helped overcome Inkberrow.

Two goals from Ben Green-wood proved to be in vain as Red Horse came out on top against the Bear thanks to goals from Edwards, Pinkney, Huc-kvale and Burrows.

Evesham WMC and Peopleton shared two goals in the top flight's other fixture.

Division Two leaders Bretfor-ton Old Boys won at Shipston with goals from Beddoes and Lindley, while Bredon came out on top against Oddfellows Arms.

Queens recorded their first league win of the season in Division Three as goals from Mansbridge, Barlow, Veitch and Alvarez kept Sporting Theocs rooted to the bottom.

Eckington hit nine past Norgren with Payne hitting four and doubles from Hammond and Smith helped Bell United get the better of Wickhamford in a game of eight goals.

Upton Snodsbury produced their best football of the season to thump champions Ambas-sador in the Knockout Cup with Spencer (2), Zujovis (2),Croy and Guscott on target for the winners.

Upton were joined in the fourth round by Gate Inn who upset second division visitors Defford and Besford with Ballard(2) and Worthington scoring for the winners.

Moreton Wanderers and Mick-leton Rangers both reached the last eight of the GFA Sunday Premier Cup with contrasting successes.

Wanderers banged in seven goals without reply in seeing off Cheltenham and Gloucester, while their Cotswolds rivals found one goal sufficient to account for Magpies.
