TWO men wearing balaclavas escaped after an attempted robbery at the One Stop Shop in Bidford last Thursday.
The pair entered the High Street shop at 11.35am while a Securicor van was parked outside.
They unsuccessfully tried to steal cash from the cash machine and then ran out of the shop.
They then drove off in a blue Volkswagen Golf towards the A46 and the car is believed to have been spotted driving through Alcester towards Studley shortly afterwards.
Nothing was stolen and no-one was injured during the robbery but the railings next to the shop were damaged and police believe the Golf will have some damage to the front nearside.
Officers are also trying to establish whether any weapon was used.
Witnesses can call Stratford CID on 01789 414111 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
