COMPETITIVE classes at Bidford Primary School pitted their wits against each other in a Christmas tree decorating contest.
Each of the 10 classes was given a Christmas tree to decorate, with ornaments the pupils made themselves.
Liz Crothall, teaching assistant for the reception class, said the trees were then taken to the hall where the whole school voted for their favourite.
She said: "The winning tree then went down to the church for the Christmas tree festival there, but unfortunately we didn't win.
"The reception class won the school competition though, they had made decorations out of bread, which they cut into shapes, dried out, then decorated with PVA glue mixed with paint - it really did look great. They are very pleased because they have never won before."
