WORCESTER fast-fit operator, Hi-Q is continuing to lead the way on RunOnFlat tyre technology thanks to an intensive training programme for its fitters.

The Droitwich Road store is one of 131 nationwide that has been put through a special Goodyear RunOnFlat training programme.

Goodyear RunOnFlat is a new type of tyre, which allows a car to be driven safely after a puncture - even at higher speeds.

Hi-Q was one of the first national networks to offer this technology which is now available in a wide range of tyre sizes to suit most makes of car.

Key to Hi-Q's success with RunOnFlat is its dedication to up-to-the-minute training. Stores that offer the specialist tyres have undergone intensive training in how to fit the tyres properly as well as, when appropriate, how to repair the tyres.

RunOnFlat tyres are currently fitted as standard to a number of models from the Mini Cooper through to the Ferrari F430 and the latest BMW 1 series.

It is envisaged that the tyre, with its increased emphasis on safety, will become a standard choice for drivers in the near future.

Hi-Q has more than 500 stores in the UK and in addition to tyres, offers services including exhausts, MOTs and servicing.
