REDDITCH Council sports services is celebrating after Arrow Vale Sports Centre become the second site in the town to achieve national recognition and gain the prestigious Quest accreditation.
Quest is a UK quality award for sports and leisure, which defines industry standards and good practice.
To gain the award, rigorous assessments of a wide range of systems and procedures are carried out by independent examiners to ensure that the highest quality is being delivered to customers.
Assessment involves the examination of over 20 management issues including strategic development, health and safety, customer care, marketing, and quality of service.
The award scheme also encourages continuous improvement by retesting the quality of services being delivered every other year, helping management and staff at the centre to continually enhance services, and ensure that customers remain happy with the facilities provided.
Ken Watkins, dead of sports and leisure services said: "We are delighted that Arrow Vale Sports Centre has achieved this national award.
"It is an excellent endorsement for the borough's leisure facilities and a testament to the ongoing hard work and dedication of our staff.
"I would like to thank everyone who worked on achieving this award.'
Mr Watkins added: "We hope our customers see the difference in the centre and benefit from the ongoing commitment to quality leisure provision."
