IN response to the so called market in Redditch (Advertiser, December 7). I work in the town centre and very rarely shop in the market these days.
For one, it's out of the way and there is never anything there worth buying (lack of variation).
We used to have a fantastic market with loads of stalls and bargains.
What is the council playing at?
When the town centre was revamped, we were supposed to have a food hall (for those that don't know, this should have been above the bus station but this area has stood empty since the day it was built. What a waste of space.)
Surely it would have been a better location for a market with the passing trade from the bus station and other shops around that area.
Merry Hill has an indoor market, so why can't we?
On another note, surely if they put the rent up again, we shall have no market by the end of next year.
