SIR - If you are an animal lover like me, now Christmas is drawing nearer, let's hope we do not hear about cases of suffering.
We do not want to hear of any torture or torment or creatures thrown out on to the street.
I would suggest if you are not an animal lover for heaven's sake do not give a cat or dog, or any other animal as a gift.
If you are loving and caring towards animals and treat them as one of the family, that's fine. Always remember that animals have feelings.
