KINGS Norton stormed into the next round of the Birmingham Vase with a convincing 70-5 victory at Birmingham Barbarians.
The Hopwood side were without seven regular first team players but still proved too strong for their non-league hosts, throwing the ball around at every opportunity.
The Hefford brothers, Martin and John, were among the first half tries with the former bagging a hat-trick as Kings opened up a 26-5 lead, Ken Whitehouse adding three conversions.
Another seven tries followed after the break with John Holland (two), Martin Hefford, Ken Whitehouse, John Pollock, Mark Martin, Richard Revell and Pete Noonan adding to the scoreline.
Kings will now play host to Bournville in the next round.
Woodrush were also emphatic winners as they romped to victory in a one-sided game at home to Five Ways.
Alcester Phoenix won their latest Warwickshire 20/20 Cup game against Shottery Shakers 7-0.
It means the Kings Coughton side have won two of their three games in the competition to lie third in the South Warwickshire table.
The only try came from Dan Parr and was converted by Rich Smith.
Alcester's next game in the competition is at Stratford on Tuesday, January 4 (ko 8pm) when they face Old Leamingtonians Crowd Pleasers.
Alcester's Warwickshire Shield match with Manor Park on Sunday was postponed due to a frozen pitch.
The King's Coughton club will host its annual Boxing Day fixture between the Chairman's XV and the Presidents XV. Players should meet by 11am for a noon kick off.
