LIFE is a cabaret for youngsters of Worcester Operatic and Dramatic Society's Youth Section, who are having a ball as they prepare to entertain the elderly and sick throughout Chrsitmas.
The Youth Section - affectionately known as WODYS - was formed 24 years ago, with a membership of 30. Now there are 70 eight to 18-year-olds and a waiting list to join.
Besides putting on spectacular summer sell-out musicals, such as Annie Get Your Gun, and Les Miserables , a group of the older WODYS - 13 and over - produce an annual winter cabaret, which they take around residential homes for the elderly and perform at charity functions.
The winter cabarets started off in a small way, but over the years they have grown in popularity.
This winter's cabaret consists of a selection of songs from shows, including Wouldn't It Be Loverly, Get Me To The Church On Time, Stepping Out With My Baby and It Don't Mean A Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing.
